MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - FOOD PRODUCTION

JOB SUMMARY:

Experience with vacuum sealers, cartoner, European Oven, pie presses, filling depositors, waste water, boiler, fabrication, welding/with certificate
Basic electric control trouble shootings
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems requiring logical troubleshooting and isolation of the malfunctions, dismantle equipment, and repair.
Perform preventative maintenance
Perform welding Tig, Mig and electrical operations incidental to the repair of equipment.
Observe use of equipment to verify equipment is being operated and maintained to standards
Observe and comply will all safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience
Welding/with certificate
Ability to work under pressue
Handle multiple hand tools and power tools to complete task as needed
Must demonstrate ability to understand basic operation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and related systems.
Requires understanding of technical documentation and operating manuals
Must have knowledge of maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably food processing.
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulics, schematics
Ability work with voltage from 12V to 480V.
WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing and able to work all assigned hours, but not limited to overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed in order to meet the department needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to work in a cold environment. Temperatures in processing areas at 40 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Exposure to coolers with temperature of 35 degrees Fahrenheit and freezers at minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITY
Requires prolong standing, squatting, walking. Requires sitting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. May require lifting and pulling up to 100 lbs. or more with appropriate assistance.
