The successful candidate will advise internal clients on a wide variety of matters related to commercialization of biotechnology and pharmaceutical products, with a focus on FDA labeling and promotional matters, fraud and abuse laws, product liability, and other legal and regulatory issues affecting the sale and promotion of biotech drugs. The attorney may spend part of the time assisting Genentech's development and medical affairs organization with contracts and legal requirements for clinical development activities within and outside the United States. This position may be hired at Counsel or Sr. Counsel level DOE.Who You AreJ.D. with Bar admission and five or more years experience, including at least 3 years advising clients in FDA-related labeling and promotional legal matters, preferably with experience in an in-house setting. Prefer individuals with experience advising mid- to senior-level managers.Individual must work well in teams and be self-motivated, and have an ethical, client-focused approach to their legal practice. Demonstrated experience in resolving challenging legal issues and ability to deliver sound, clear legal advice in a business setting. Good judgment and excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
