As US Commercial Team Leader (USCTL), the Director participates on the LCT and IBT; provides strategic direction into global clinical development, lifecycle planning, launch planning, and business plans. The Director also will build and lead the teams that support these products, and create internal awareness.Over the next 12 months, the Director will be leading US strategic planning for aleglitazar plus at least one IDCP (PCSK9) as well as input into early stage compounds.With one marketer direct report immediately, this person will be building a team over the next two years of 3-8 marketers (depending on progression of the pipeline products).A candidate for this role will be a strong and collaborative leader, deeply interested in the science of the disease and the clinical profile of the products and the competition, and diverse commercial experience to help shape the development and launch plans.Example Duties and Responsibilities:* Leads development & implementation of long-range business plans, Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR), LaunchPad, Business Plans, 3 year brand and 1 year tactical plans;* Provides US strategic direction into global lifecycle (LCT) and international business teams (IBT), IDCP process (integrated development and commercialization plans), target product profiles (TPPs), annual lifecycle plans (ALPs), and annual marketing plans (AMPs); as well as business development opportunities* Develops the market preparation and launch marketing plans, including brand positioning, messaging, and campaign development; responsible for appropriate and effective implementation of pre-launch programs* Establishes strong relationships with thought leaders within the cardiovascular and diabetes therapeutic areas* Plays an important leadership role in keeping the organization informed and educated of developments within neuroscience;* Develops and manages a marketing budget in excess of $12 mm* Hires, develops, and oversees the work of direct and indirect reports* Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of GNE activities* Business travel, by air or car, is required for regular internal and external business meetings; much of the travel will be internationalWho You AreQualifications and Experience:* Bachelors Degree (Marketing, Business, Biology, or Life Sciences discipline preferred)* MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred;* 10 or more or more years work experience, management experience preferred;* A minimum of 4 years product marketing and/or market planning experience in the pharmabiotech with a track record of progressing in roles & responsibil
