Ensure staff maximally contribute and perform toward assigned programs and initiatives. Contribute to the global CDM strategy, and ensure implementation at the respective sites.Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities* Coaches, supports, manages and leads staff in setting personal goals, clarifying expectations and job accountabilities* Manages staff performance by providing feedback, evaluating, establishing development plans, identifying opportunities, and recognizing on an ongoing basis* Manages the overall contribution of individual team members to ensure the effective execution and delivery of program/initiative deliverables* Ensures staff adherence to SOPs, supporting documents and processes* Ensures employee relations are managed to maximize employee motivation and well being* Recruits and hires new staff (including contractors); liaises with local Human Resources and contract agencies as needed* Ensures the Pharma Development, Biometrics and CDM mission, vision, values and goals are understood and that individuals are clear on how they contribute to them* Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships within CDM and cross-functionally in order to support staff and to benefit the overall CDM organization* Collaborates with global and local subfunctional management teams to ensure programs and non-program tasks are adequately resourced, utilizing service provider resources as appropriate* Forecasts and manages program resources within global resourcing database* Promotes CDM functional excellence by facilitating knowledge sharing and creating an environment of continuous improvement* Contributes or leads local/global and cross-/subfunctional working groups and initiatives* Leads or participates in the global and local functional/cross-functional implementation of best practices and process improvement initiatives* Contributes to and manages components of the local CDM budget* Leads in planning, implementation and championing of subfunctional and CDM operational strategyWho You AreQualifications* BA/BS degree or equivalent* Personnel management skills or team leadership experience preferred* Proven experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with an emphasis in CDM* Practical and theoretical knowledge within subfunction* Must be able to work in a global environment and be able to travel to respective sites Experience and/or Competencies Required* Strong interpersonal and communication skills* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and across cultures* Ability to build an effective, collaborative team environment* Strong problem-solving skills* Excellent orga
