Senior Product Managers may have one or more direct reports.Example Duties and Responsibilities:* Leads and oversees the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans for assigned products and their indications that will meet or exceed established goals and targets* Collaborates with Franchise Sales and other Commercial Operations and Development groups to develop a comprehensive, strategic business plan, including specific, measurable and action-oriented objectives that grow brand profitability and adoption* Regularly commissions market research and other external data to help inform marketing strategies, plans and tactics* Completes various financial modeling - analysis and assessment of pricing, costs, pull-through, etc.* May lead or participate in development and implementation of 3-year and 1-year brand and tactical plans and brand marketing operating/expense budgets for one or more products in the assigned franchise(s)* Contributes to lifecycle plan(s) and associated LRP (Long-range plan) for assigned product(s) and/or their indication(s)* Works closely with counterparts in Managed Care Marketing to ensure appropriate alignment of managed-care marketing plans with the core brand marketing strategy, plans and activities. Works similarly, as and when appropriate, with other Commercial Operations functions, such as eMarketing to ensure a seamless and well-integrated brand message and overall position across multiple marketing platforms* Works with team and other stakeholders to identify appropriate resources to support brand marketing strategies and activities. Participates or leads in negotiation of medium to smaller-scale vendor agreements and ensures best terms for Genentech* Collaborates on clinical projects* Participates in the publications strategy for one or more products in the assigned franchise(s)* Consistently monitors brand and marketing activity performance/progress. Regularly completes forecasting and uses forecasting analyses to make appropriate recommendations* Identifies, recommends, creates and helps implement new sales tools/resources that will enable the field to represent the brands in accordance with the defined strategy and position, as well as increase access for the brands. Works with others to monitor success/effectiveness of field tools and resources* Achieves margin goals and increases rate of market adoption for assigned brands* Where applicable, hires, develops and oversees the work of direct reports* Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activitiesWho You AreQualifications and Experience: unless stated as ""preferred"" o
