Please take this opportunity to learn about Genentech, where we believe that our employees are our most important asset and are dedicated to remaining a great place to work.The PositionThe Product Manager/Sr. Product Manager, Consumer/Patient Marketing identifies, develops, implements and monitors strategic brand marketing activities for the assigned Genentech products and their approved indications.Reports to: Group Product Manger, Tamiflu MarketingExample Duties and Responsibilities:* Participates in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans for assigned products and their indications* Collaborates with other Commercial Operations functions and groups to develop a comprehensive, strategic business plan, including specific, measurable and action-oriented objectives that grow brand profitability and adoption* Uses and commissions appropriate market research. Analyzes and assesses such research to extrapolate meaning and opportunities that will help further the assigned products(s) overall market strength and positioning* Develops, implements and executes brand marketing strategies, plans and tactics for Tamiflu. Participates in development of the 3-year brand plan and 1-year tactical plan.* Participates in 3-year and 1-year operating/expense budget development and forecasting* Manages expense budget to meet quarterly forecasts* Completes various financial modeling - analysis and assessment of pricing, costs, pull-through, etc* Works regularly with other Commercial Operations functions, such as Interactive Marketing, to ensure high quality tactical execution and a seamless and well-integrated brand message and overall position across multiple marketing platforms* Helps identify appropriate resources to support brand marketing strategies and activities. Participates or leads in negotiation of medium to smaller-scale vendor agreements and ensures best terms for Genentech* Consistently monitors brand and marketing activity performance/progress. Regularly completes forecasting and uses forecasting analyses to make appropriate recommendations* Leads the execution of the Tamiflu DTC program, including advertising in Television, Print, Radio, Online and other channels, by leveraging advertising agency resources and other vendors* Responsible to ensure brand marketing strategies and plans for assigned product(s) will meet or exceed established goals and targets* Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activitiesWho You AreQualifications and Experience: unless stated as ""preferred"" or ""a plus,"" all other criteria is required* Bachelors Degree* MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred* 2 years or more previous product marketing, sales management or market planning management experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/or other related industry* Previous experience executing DTC or patient marketing tactics in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/or other related industry is preferred* Proven track record of meeti
