Please take this opportunity to learn about Genentech, where we believe that our employees are our most important asset and are dedicated to remaining a great place to work.The PositionThe Product Manager/Senior Product Manager, Tamiflu HCP Promotion Marketing identifies, develops, implements and monitors strategic brand marketing activities for the assigned Genentech products and their approved indications.Example Duties and Responsibilities:* Participates in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans for Tamiflu promotional activities oriented to healthcare professionals* Collaborates with Franchise Sales and other Commercial Operations and Development groups to develop a comprehensive, strategic business plan, including specific, measurable and action-oriented objectives that grow brand profitability and adoption* Uses and commissions appropriate market research. Analyzing and assessing such research to extrapolate meaning and opportunities that will help further the assigned products(s) overall market strength and positioning* Develops, implements and executes brand marketing strategies, plans and tactics. Participates in development of 3-year and 1-year brand plans and tactics* Participates in 3-year and 1-year operating/expense budget development* Manages a cost center expense budget to quarterly targets and updates expense forecasts* Completes various financial modeling - analysis and assessment of pricing, costs, pull-through, etc.* Manages various external vendors, including advertising agencies, teledetailing providers, and others to execute on defined tactics and strategies* Collaborates closely with the Tamiflu Project Coordinator to effectively manage marketing tactics and other brand priorities* Works closely with counterparts in Commercial Operations and Sales Operations and Information Management to ensure high quality execution from Teledetailing vendor* Works closely with other Commercial Operations functions, such as eMarketing to ensure a seamless and well-integrated brand message and overall position across multiple marketing platforms* Helps identify appropriate internal and external resources to support brand marketing strategies and activities. Participates or leads in negotiation of vendor agreements and ensures best terms for Genentech* Consistently monitors brand and marketing activity performance/progress. Regularly completes forecasting and uses forecasting analyses to make appropriate recommendations* Identifies, recommends, creates and helps implement new sales tools/resources that will enable the field representatives from both Genentech and a Contract Sales Organization to represent the brand in accordance with the defined strategy and position, as well as increase access for the brand. Works with others to monitor success/effectiveness of field tools and resources* Responsible to ensure brand marketing strategies and plans for assigned product(s) will meet or exceed established goals and targets* Complies with all laws, regulations and
