He/she will participate in the management and further development of a high-throughput platform to create protein expression constructs required to explore structure and functional properties of proteins of therapeutic interest and to support protein reagent development for small and large molecule drug discovery and basic research in a core facility setting. The candidate will collaborate with other scientists within and outside the Structural Biology Department and will serve as a resource in the areas of molecular biology and design/creation of protein expression constructs in high-throughput fashion. Experience with standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. subcloning, mutagenesis, library construction, primer design, and DNA/protein sequence analysis), automatic liquid handling, and technology development is required. Familiarity with protein expression using E. coli, baculovirus infected cells and mammalian cells is a plus.Who You ArePh.D./Post-doc in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline with 5 or more years of relevant postdoctoral/industry experience required. Candidate must be highly organized, motivated, work independently in a collaborative team-oriented setting, process-oriented, and have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. *LI-EK1
