Marketing technology solutions consist of Marketing Resource Management (based on Aprimo) and eMarketing. These solutions will support over 3000 end users in various Genentech/Roche brands in the US. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing the key vendor partnerships with SalesForce.com, Aprimo, and others.This position is also responsible for the staff administration for the Sales and Marketing IT team comprised of Business Analysts, Project Managers, Technical Leads and Technical Developers. The team size will be approximately 10 full-time internal staff and approximately 20 external contract staff (including offshore).This position reports to the Director of the North America Application Services and is a member of the Application Services Leadership Team. This role will be expected to operate at a senior level and have exemplary technology, people management, and leadership skills. This position is located in South San Francisco.Key Responsibilities:* Establishes and manages the processes and direction for the delivery of the Sales and Marketing IT solutions services (projects, maintenance and enhancements) and support (operations) that are in alignment with the overall US & Canada Commercial Operations Informatics strategy.* Establishes and monitors process-related service and support metrics for the Sales and Marketing IT solutions with a focus on continuous improvement* Interacts closely with the Commercial Operations Business Solution Owners (BSO) to establish strategies and roadmaps for the IT solutions* Establishes positive working relationships and proactively networks to build strong partnerships with the Commercial Operations Sales and Marketing BSOs* Exerts significant influence on internal and external service providers in directing them toward achievement of strategies and objectives* Provides management administrative support to the team (performance planning, development planning, performance reviews, salary, bonus, and stock administration, career planning, etc.)* Develops medium and long term work force plans for the organization* Manages vendor relationships, contracts, roadmaps etc. with SalesForce.com, Aprimo, and other solution vendors* Manages budget associated with the organizationWho You AreDesired Keys Skills/Experience* 8-12 years of experience in IT/BioTech/Pharmaceutical industries* Broad technical experience and business process knowledge in Pharma Sales, Marketing, Call Center, Customer Operations, data management, etc.* 5-8 years of management experience including staff development, performance management, and career dev
