Responsible for a spend ranging from $50 million to $200 million. This is a highly visible leadership role with engagement with senior leaders at the sites as well as with other business areas both regionally and globally, to implement and drive Genentech's procurement initiatives and policies in order to meet operational and financial goals. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:The Senior Manager Site Procurement will be considered the professional resource or consultant on all things Procurement and will be looked to as a single point of contact by the site leadership to drive resolution of Procurement related issues.The Senior Manager Site Procurement will work with other functional Procurement groups to coordinate the resolution of site issues and will provide guidance to the same on how programs are performing at their respective site. This person shall have management responsibility and accountability (both direct and dotted-line) for the local Procurement teams at their respective site (2 to 4 people).The Senior Manager Site Procurement works independently with Genentech/Roche leaders and executives, including Plant Management and Site Governance teams to identify strategic procurement opportunities within the business. Additionally, interact with senior management of Genentech/Roche strategic suppliers ensuring effective and efficient relationships that deliver value to both parties.The Senior Manager Site Procurement will work with and lead cross function teams, across the Network, to identify, develop and drive strategic programs focused on reducing overall cost structure and improved supplier performance. This will be achieved by utilizing advanced Procurement Tools and applying market intelligence to develop global category management strategies and effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs. Additionally, will have matrix management responsibility for their assigned categories teams based at other Genentech / Roche Sites, across the network both regionally and in many cases globally.
