To partner and align with key stakeholders in the management of our clinical trials in the establishment of best practices and to foster innovation. To contribute to the development and implementation of the global CDM strategy.Major Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesProvides Strategic Direction and Leadership to CDM globally1. Provides overall leadership for a sub function(s) or therapeutic area(s) (TA) within CDM, and provides functional expertise and guidance across CDM and to partners.2. Line manages Clinical Data Leaders and/or Functional Managers; indirectly manages individual contributors in their TA or sub-function(s). May directly manage senior-level individual conributors.3. Coaches, mentors and leads reports in support of projects.4. Accountable for staff recruitment, induction, retention, development and performance management.5. Accountable for talent management and succession planning within own scope of accountability, participates in talent management and succession planning for CDM overall.6. Accountable for ensuring that staff well-being is maximized through proactive communication and managing employee relations.7. Ultimate decision maker on job descriptions, competency frameworks, development paths and training strategy within their organisation.8. Accountable (and is an advocate) for the appropriate, continued implementation of Optimised Data Value (ODV) principles.9. Ensures alignment across the CDM TAs and sub-functions.10. Participates in the creation and support of the CDM vision, mission, and strategy and is accountable for implementation with the sub function or TAResponsible for the Oversight of Operational Delivery of their TA or sub-function(s)11. Leads and contributes to CDM/Biometrics and PD goals to support the global strategy12. Partners with all CDM TAs and sub-functions on overall CDM delivery; identifies and works to remove obstacles to delivery.13. Ensures all CDM project & non-molecule milestones are transparent, agreed upon, tracked and delivered on time14. Accountable for TA or sub-functional budget, resourcing strategy and productivity improvements.15. Ensures that sub function and/or TA strategies are known, understood, supported and implemented within CDM.16. In partnership with other CDM Senior Clinical Data Leaders and Clinical Data Leaders, agrees to service levels with partner functions, other TA or sub-functions of CDM and Biometrics as appropriate.17. Effectively balances overall CDM efficiency and consistency with TA/sub-function flexibility and responsiveness.18. Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and leverages those relationships to ensure stakeholder engagement and effective issue manage
