Seeking an individual with diverse technical expertise and excellent communication skills to support its Enterprise and high computing environments. Responsible for managing the daily operations and maintenance of the IT Infrastructure, and planning for its upgrades and future evolution. Ensuring that systems achieve a high level of performance, reliability with minimal downtime.Job Description* Provide 24X 7 support for mission critical Windows/Unix environments, both virtual and physical with no supervision* Deliver on daily operational tasks * VMWare Administration* Serve as technical lead on projects and ensures smooth transition between the design and development phase to the operations phase* Provide Primary and Secondary support of environments* Participate in projects to analyze new hardware and software or to implement new releases of computer hardware, operating systems, firmware, and program products.Who You AreSuccessful candidates will be able to demonstrate all or most of the following skills and traits:* General experience in Infrastructure and Enterprise environments* Strong Linux/Unix skills, Mac and Windows environments* Good understanding of Clustering technologies, i.e. Oracle Clusterware, Oracle Rac. Strong VMware skills are required * Good SQL/Oracle Database skills* Working knowledge of NAS/SAN storage and backup technologies* Exceptional leadership and teamwork* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsMust possess a strong attention to detail* Maintain knowledge of industry best practices* Capable of working independently, effective at managing multiple tasks and projects, flexible and able to adapt quickly to new and changing situations* Excellent reliability and dependability* Strong communication and customer service mindset* Experience with biotechnology/pharmaceutical computing environments a plus.* Bachelor's degree in BS, CS, MIS, or other related field preferred or equivalent experience* 5 years of equivalent experience, including familiarity with networking, storage and database technologies* 5 years supporting a mission-critical Enterprise environmentEducation/Certification
