<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Every day, Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) connects scientific professionals with opportunities to advance their careers.We have an exciting, direct placement opportunity for a Technical Sales/ Process Engineer with a chemical company that specializes in polymers and coatings located in the Orange County area.This position is responsible for selling and delivering high quality products and value-added technical support to clients in the Southern California area.Job Duties/Responsibilities:* Responsible for new account acquisition and continued penetration at assigned accounts / territory.* Responsible for achieving new target revenue at assigned accounts / territory.* Coordinates with Sales Manager, Product Managers and Technical Support to meet mutual expectations and objectives. At times, requires assistance to effectively deliver to the customer, problem resolution with the appropriate use of internal resources.* Manages assigned accounts / territory with the assistance of their Sales Manager / Key Account Manager and Product Manager. In general, this includes the entire sales process through close of sale, determining and influencing internal resources to maintain and close sale (organizational agility), and building relationships at multiple levels at the customer. Specifically , this included the following:* Identifies prospects and assesses product needs. Supports product development and research ideas. Communicates the needs of the customer base, and delivers information to internal R&D and Product Management Teams.* Sells the core product range to new and current accounts.* Introduces new products and cost reduction programs to aid customer processes.* Identifies and is involved in the development of opportunities. Assists on site surveys; assists in the preparation of Presentations and Proposals if needed.* Manages Customer Value Proposition. Develop/Use Case Studies in the Sales Process* Possesses the ability to provide leadership, input, and direction to regional commercial team on a wide range of issues including strategy, internal process, and key account developmentEducation and Experience:* Bachelor''s degree (preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering).* Must possess 2-7 years of technical sales, service, or sales experience in the appropriate industry (steel, metalworking, fluid power, can, etc.).* Must possess the ability to grow and retain new business.* Position holder is a technical expert, is able to understand, and to solve technical process-related problems with some assistance.* Must possess good communication and relationship building skills.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
