Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate 10  15 years of combined experience, 5 7 working for a major original equipment manufacturer as a field installation specialist and 5  7 working in a company similar to ADI as a Master Machine Mechanic or the equivalent.
A completed apprenticeship earned under the tutelage of a major original equipment manufacturer is preferred but may not be required.
It is preferred but not required that Master Machine Mechanics demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of an Electronic Technician in addition to his or her demonstrated abilities as a mechanic.
Master Machine Mechanics must possess and demonstrate knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Master Machine Mechanics must possess knowledge of arithmetic as well as knowledge of algebra and geometry and their applications.
Master Machine Mechanics must possess knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the interpretation of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the ability to determine the causes of operating errors and to decide what to do about them.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the ability to listen, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the ability to determine the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the physical ability to perform all of the tasks required in this job description. These physical abilities may include but not be limited to standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crawling and articulating limbs and fingers while the body is engaged in any of the aforementioned.
Master Machine Mechanics will be capable of fabricating brackets, braces, gussets, etc. using milling machines, lathes, grinders, hones, brakes, presses, etc. in order to do so.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the ability to match or detect the differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
Master Machine Mechanics will possess and demonstrate the ability to lift as much as 40 lbs. and to carry that 40 lbs a distance of 20 ft.
