<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>6495BRAdvertised Position Title Test Technician SpecialistWork Location CA, Van NuysJob Description ITT Exelis in Van Nuys, CA is looking for a Test Technician Specialist with 5 years experience and a high school degree who can excel in supporting our Logistics department.Our Logistics team is looking for a results-oriented individual with effective technical and communication skills who can perform the following duties:Performs a wide variety of complex operational and functional tests of major systems, sub-systems, and units. Performs a wide variety of non-standard complex tasks in the area of setting up test apparatus, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modifying production electronic equipment. Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment. Evaluates and resolves complex problems and may work offsite without engineering assistance. Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. Aligns complex equipment and performs other unique or specialized tests such as prototype test, environmental tests and failure analysis tests.Support test and integration of ESM/ELINT Receiving systems from initial check out through system acceptance testing. SystemsIntegration, including RF, IF, Video, Analog and Digital. Troubleshoot processing circuitry down to the card/component level. Conduct system level RF path testing and performance measurements. Work with both QA and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve integration problems. 10 years experience testing and integrating Microwave Receiver Systems and Digital Signal Processing for EW Systems. Solid understanding of signal processing as used in ELINT/SIGINT to include pulse and video analysis as applied in radar environment. Working knowledge using Sun and PC based workstations a must. Experience with RF test equipment and logic analyzers.Required Experience: -High School diploma or equivalent plus two years college or three years of advanced electronic training at a specialized electronics school.
