We are looking for employees with a positive outlook who are focused on the future and want to provide excellent service.ISSi is currently looking for consulting employees to be available ?on call  for surge and other intermittent work.  Consulting employees have the advantage of potentially being exposed to several diversified and exciting projects. Depending on the project, we may hire as an employee or a 1099 consultant. Consulting employees will be given priority consideration for longer-term regular positions that may open up within the company.If you are energetic, flexible, and love a challenge, this is a great opportunity for you!Duties: In this position you will have an opportunity to:?maintain and modify existing and acquire new air quality permits;?conduct air quality inspections, surveys, and assessments;?analyze sustainability projects for environmental and economic benefit;?support interdisciplinary teams in meeting Federal sustainability requirements;?help improve existing programs such as green purchasing and recycling;?work with other organizations to improve environmental sustainability;?participate in multi-media internal audit teams;?track and follow up on corrective and preventive actions and permit conditions;?track new and emerging federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations and standards;?collect and process air quality samples;?prepare data tables, letters, plans, reports and other paperwork;?input data into various databases;?review Material Safety Data Sheets for material use;?prepare reports for CO2 emissions, toxic releases inventory, recyclable materials, and other environmental impacts;?support other programs, including emergency response oversightQualifications: Successful candidates will be an innovative thinker, detail-oriented, team player, with good verbal, written and computer skills. They will have the ability to gather and report detailed environmental information in approved formats, perform accurate environmental and economic benefit analyses, and manage several projects concurrently. They will have a proven successful background in science as applied to multi-media environmental management including air emissions, hazardous materials and pollution prevention. They will be able to work well with a wide variety of organizations and people.Minimum requirements include BS or MS in Environmental Science, Engineering or closely related discipline with 2-20 years of experience.Share this Job: Share
