Depending on the project, we may hire as an employee or a 1099 consultant. Consulting employees will be given priority consideration for longer-term regular positions that may open up within the company.If you are energetic, flexible, and love a challenge, this is a great opportunity for you!Duties: The Environmental Protection Specialist will be responsible for oversight and development of environmental documents and programs including Wildlife Surveys, Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, and Categorical Exclusions, and maintain electronic database of all environmental conservation documentation.Previous experience in some or all of the following areas: National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Land Use Planning, Endangered Species Act, Environmental Policy, Conservation, and Cultural Resources. This position is responsible for all aspects of the program and project performance management services in all functional and program specific areas.Qualifications: Must have 10+ years environmental experience in at least one of the following areas: NEPA, Land Use, Environmental Policy, Environmental Conservation, Preservation of Endangered Species.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to develop environmentally related documents and interface with various levels throughout the organization.Education/ExperienceREQUIRED:B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related degree with NEPA experiencePREFERRED:M.S. degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related degreeShare this Job: Share
