JOB SUMMARY:

and is critical to PGEs Gas Transmission
business. The Quality/Process Improvement
Specialist
is responsible for overseeing and facilitating all
efforts related to ensuring and building quality
into
integrity management processes and procedures and
using the lessons learned from root cause
evaluations to improve processes and procedures
related to integrity management. This position
must support the overall Risk Management and
Integrity Management goals and objectives and
help ensure that they are clearly aligned with
PGEs vision of becoming an industry leader.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business
related discipline
- 8 years of combined experience showing
proficiency in and a dedication to process
improvement, root cause analysis, and procedures
development
- Experience facilitating improvements for
multidisciplinary work teams
Desired
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma
- Safety record demonstrating safety is a priority
for self and team
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing
employees
- Gas Operations Transmission experience
- Gas or Utility Design Experience
- Budget and Project Management Experience
- Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192, CPUC GO 112E, ASME
B31.8S
- Knowledge of PHMSA Advanced Notice of Proposed
Rulemaking ANPRM Docket No.
PHMSA-2011-0023, Pipeline Safety Safety of Gas
Transmission Pipelines

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate by personal action a 100% commitment
to employee and public safety.
- Oversee and facilitate efforts related to
ensuring and building quality into integrity
management processes and procedures and using the
lessons learned from root cause
evaluations to improve processes and procedures
related to integrity management.
- Develop and track metrics to assist in process
improvements.
- Communicate effectively through regular
interactions with the Integrity Management
Engineering team, IM Risk Management team,
Pipeline Safety Enhancement Plan PSEP team,
Project Engineering, Asset Knowledge, Gas
Leadership, other PGE operating departments as
well as regulatory oversight bodies including the
CPUC and PHMSA and with industry
organizations including INGAA, PRCI, GTI, NACE and
AGA.
