<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Senior Projects Manager, Packaging R&D, Metal Food CansDepartment: R&DJob Description: BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:The position is the technical expert for metal food cans for Del Monte Foods R&D. The position leads Packaging R&D projects for metal food cans that include the commercialization of new products, cost savings initiatives and packaging improvements. The working manager will independently collaborate with cross-functional leaders from Marketing, Market Research, and Operations, to identify, evaluate, and execute against product opportunities. The Project Manager must also independently work with Metal Technology, Metal Procurement, Operations and QA to insure new packages and package optimizations meet the project financial, operational and quality requirements. The Project Manager will also be expected to provide project recommendations to upper management, including non-technical functions such as Marketing and Sales.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
