Retains responsibility for development and implementation of policies and procedures that govern both department&#39;s operations. Participates with leaders, management, and leaders in the hospital&#39;s decision-making structures and processes. Supports philosophy and objectives of the hospital. Functions as an expert in emergency nursing management. Establishes and monitors standards of clinical practice and performance; role models behaviors important for the development of professional nursing practice. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.Education:Graduation from accredited school of nursing, BS and or MS preferred, and or the equivalent in formal education or experience.Experience:3-5 years of progressively responsible nursing management experience required. Knowledge of nursing management principles and techniques. Knowledge of current literature on developments in patient care. Knowledge of development of new services.Licenses/Certificates:Valid California RN license required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification required, ACLS and PALS required.Primary Locaiton: CA-Watsonville (Monterey Bay region)Organization: Watsonville Hospital
