JOB SUMMARY:

The National Park Service is looking for temporary employees to work as a Lead Wildland Firefighter.  Work may include working as a Lead on any of the following types of crews: Hand; Helitack (helicopter); Engine; Prescribed.  For more information on Crew Types, click here.

Positions at the GS-06 level have been identified as one of the key fire management positions under the Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) Standard. These positions have been categoriezed as a Senior Firefighter (SFF), and is subject to meeting the minimum qualification standards for IFPM prior to being placed into the position.
