JOB SUMMARY:
Job Title: Ceritifed Nurse Asst.-Full time-Evening and day shift-Grand Junction and Montrose availableQUALIFICATIONS: Current Colorado Nurse s Aid license. Ability to meet competency requirements for CNA as outlined in skillschecklist. Recommend 1-2 years experience as CNA; may substitute life experienceand/or documented successful training experience. Valid Colorado driver s license and unlimited access to reliabletransportation. Adequate automobile insurance. Ability to set priorities and follow through. Participates in the on-call, holiday, weekend and after hours programs. Reads, writes and speaks English in a manner that can be understood byothers.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (i.e. upto 1/3 of the time) to move objects, including the human body. Frequentwalking and standing. Standing/Walking must stand/walk frequently and intermittently toaccomplish tasks. May also choose to stand while completing clerical duties. Lifting must frequently raise objects, including the human body,from a lower to a higher position or move objects, including the humanbody, horizontally from position to position. Pushing/Pulling must frequently use upper extremities to pushand/or pull objects, including the human body, in a sustained motion. Climbing must frequently climb in to and out of car. Must frequentlyascend and descend stairs, uneven surfaces, or obstacles, which may belocated indoors or outdoors and may not be handicap accessible. Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching must frequently stoop, kneel, orcrouch during the provision of patient care. Balancing must maintain balance, which is necessary for ordinarylocomotion and body equilibrium. Sitting must sit frequently when traveling to patients homes andmay also choose to sit while completing clerical duties. Reaching must frequently reach during the provision of patient care. Fingering/Grasping must occasionally finger and/or graspobjects, including the human body, during the provision of patient care. Feeling must occasionally touch objects, including the human body,to perceive attributes such as size, shape, temperature, or textures. Talking must frequently exchange information in person and on thetelephone to patients, doctors, family members, and co-workers by meansof spoken word. Repetitive Motions must occasionally use upper and/or lowerextremities in a repetitive motion, including blood pressure cuff,writing, and driving. Sensory Needs must possess those senses necessary for communication,patient assessment/treatment, and driving, including sight and hearing.Description: The Certified Nursing Assistant is a trained, certifiedcaregiver who provides personal care services and homemaker duties with afocus on patient privacy, safety and needs to patients as prescribed in theCNA Plan of Care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.- Formal Education at a Technical College or Trade School- Licensed CNA in Colorado Required- 1 year of experience as a C.N.A. required
