CLINICAL SPECIALIST FOR SPINAL CORD STIMULATORPRIMARY FUNCTION:Promotes company products through education of current and potentialcustomers, patient clinic coverage within a defined region by providingclinical education and support in order to provide world class service toBoston Scientific customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas ofbasic troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up for companyproducts outside the Operating Room and in a clinical setting. Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage ofcompany products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a widevariety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies,manuals) to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy,and technology developments and current items of interest in the industry. Performs clinical and library research and participates in casereviews and clinical observation by working with physicians and hospital labstaff. Attends unit implants in the labs and operating room of hospitalaccounts and performs patient follow-up to assure customer and patient successwith the implanted products. Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians,physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile orairplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraintsrelated to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company productscan help them to achieve their goals. Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g. throughconversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make newcontacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key decisionmakers in order to facilitate future sales. Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products andservice by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with otherrelated personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing,technical support) to develop optimal solutions. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure toadequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmentalregulations. On-call duties may be required 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. May be required to perform other duties as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Associates Degree or Technical Certification * 1 years experience in a clinical role * Must be available to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree in Nursing, Biology, Kinesiology or other science field * Experience as Physical Therapy Assistant, RN, ChiropractorAssistant, Radiologic Tech or Surgical Tech preferred * Medical device sales and/or clinical education experience * 1+ years experience in a sales and/or clinical roleBoston Scientific is an equal opportunity employer.
