JOB SUMMARY:
Job Title: Employment Specialist - Workforce Investment Act (WIA)Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Employee musthave regular attendance/punctuality, be able to cooperate with others,and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:1. Interviewing clients and assessing needs and job skills for enrollment intraining and employment programs.2. Referring clients to other programs within the Workforce Center and thecommunity as appropriate.3. Administering and interpreting appropriate assessment instruments.4. Assisting clients with job development, employer and other communityeducation activities, and serving as liaison between the organization andother community agencies.5. Instructing clients in pre-employment skills, self-esteem building, andother activities in order to assist in job placement.6. Supervising clients work performance, training, and/or education.7. Designing and implementing special projects which will enhance the trainingservices provided by the organization.8. Maintaining files, log notes, forms, routine reports, and otherpaperwork as necessary.9. Participating in employer relations activities, including consultativemeetings, job fairs, seminars, workshops, and networking events.10. Other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications: Bachelor s degree (B.A.) from four-year college oruniversity and two years experience in customer service, human services,or human resources.Hours: Exempt Position - Full Time (Monday through Friday)Salary: $12.00-$13.08 per hour (depending on education and experience)Benefits: Paid Time Off.
