JOB SUMMARY:
The mechanic provides a wide range of preventative maintenance as well as service and repair work on automobiles and equipment. Knowledge of auto repair. Knowledge of fork lift operation. Training in the auto repair industry. Knowledge of centrifugal pump operation and repair. Complete repair and routine maintenance on trucks and pumps. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan work to be performed.Service and repair all pumps and equipment. Take phone calls to schedule repairs with field personnel. Ensure that a finished piece of equipment/pump is in ready to rent condition and communication of that is given to the fleet operations manager. Ensure that equipment/pump is checked in properly from the field. Authorize and schedule 3rd party repairs for windshields and tires.
