Job Title: Participant Specialist Adult Day Care (Non-CNA)Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Employee musthave regular attendance/punctuality, be able to cooperate with others,and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:1. Assist participants with activities of daily living to include toileting,walking, eating, and transferring based on the individual ability leveland degree of dementia.2. Initiate conversation and social interaction with participants all duringthe day and with families as they pick up and deliver participants.3. Provide activity direction to include brain stimulating, physical, andsocial activities for participants for a portion of the day. (Activitydirection for the day is divided up with other participant specialists.)4. Observe and report health or behavior concerns/changes to Director andnurse.5. Complete required documentation promptly, accurately, and legibly.6. Provide behavior management techniques appropriate to dementia to diffuseanger or keep participants safe and reassured (i.e., distraction,redirection, validation).7. Perform housekeeping duties to include but not limited to vacuuming,mopping, dusting, trash removal, stocking supplies, disinfecting,cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen, cleaning and tidying all areas of the fac8. Assist with loading and unloading of participants in or out oftransportation.9. Maintain professional boundaries with all participants enrolled in anyHilltop program or residing at any of Hilltop s facilities, all the whilemaintaining the dignity, confidentiality, and privacy rights of every participa10. Maintain professional behavior with co-workers and outside agencies.11. Attend team meetings and in-service trainings as scheduled.12. Other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree(GED) and three to six months related experience; or equivalentcombination of education and experience. PCP and Dementia experience is preferrHours: Limited Part-Time (Monday thru Friday from 1:30-5pm)Salary: $9.25-$10.08 per hour (depending on education and experience)Benefits: 401k Retirement Savings Plan.
