This position is located in the Glenwood Springs Field Office in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Glenwood Springs is in the middle of the state along I-70 and close to Aspen, several "14ers", and is about 3 hours from Denver. The incumbent serves as District Conservationist for the local field office assisting the Conservation District in carrying out soil and water conservation programs. They will spend some of their time in the field working with producers and other land users. The District Conservationist is responsible for working closely with other local, state and federal agencies and associations as well as managing the district office and supervising employees. You will have the opportunity to tell our story and see, firsthand, the impact of our work.
