JOB SUMMARY:
Criminal background- case by case. This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
The office of Community Services is seeking a part time instructor of Serv-Safe Food Handlers/Managers to teach evenings in Lufkin, Nacogdoches and Jasper.
A minimum of 3 yrs work experience in food preparation/handling as a business or as an employee/manager of a business. Experience teaching or directing a culinary arts program a plus. Must possess the Serv-Safe instructor credential for teaching. Teacher certification in culinary arts or consumer/food science a plus. College courses or degree in food science or culinary arts preferred. Must be willing to travel to off campus sites as needed for teaching.
