We are seeking a Data Entry Specialist in our Certificates Department.
Job Functions
* Enters data into a proprietary application that is used to generate Certificates of Insurance
* Keeps track of received data and source documents as work is completed
* Prepares and sorts source documents, identifies and interprets data to be entered
* Burns Certificates of Insurance to CDs or Flash Drives as requested
* Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data
* Compares data entered with source documents, and makes necessary corrections to information entered
* Files or routes source documents after entry
* May be responsible for verifying data entered, coding a variety of recurring items, and for special handling of variations in data
* Processing returned mail as per SOP
* Act as first point of contact for clients calling into the Marsh CS Help Desk and CS main phone line
* Create and mail hourly certificate queue update report
* Maintain both written and verbal communication with internal Operations colleagues on a day-to-day basis
* Comply with all defined policies and procedures of U.S. Production Operations, including but not limited to email, work hours, chain-of-command, timesheets, signing in and out
* Attend all internal meetings as needed
* Participate in other projects/activities as needed
The successful candidate must have:
* Prior experience in a customer service position
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong attention to detail skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
* Must have the ability to multi-task
* Good organization and time management skills
* Typing speed - at least 35 wpm and 98% accuracy
* Ability to navigate seamlessly between MS Office (especially Excel and Word), Web-based applications, and Outlook
* Excellent attendance and employee record
* Working knowledge of Siebel is a plus
* Ability to work overtime when needed
Compensation: $12.02 per hour
Eligible candidate will be assigned a shift upon hire. Hours of operations are
Monday-Friday:
* 7am - 4pm
* 8am-5pm
* 9am-6pm
* 10am-7pm
* 11am-8pm
