About the Agency

The U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of the Secretary is searching for the next Director, National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Coordination Office. This position is located within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology, but is detailed to the National Space-Based PNT Coordination Office, located in the Department of Commerce.
As the Director, you will be responsible for oversight of an interagency staff that provides strategic advice, coordination, and outreach regarding policies, architectures, requirements, and resource allocations for maintaining and improving the U.S. space-based PNT infrastructure. This office supports the National Space-Based PNT Executive Committee and Executive Steering Group, established by the 2004 National Security Policy Directive for Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing.
