This position, Director/Equal Opportunity Officer, is located in the Office of Civil Rights and Diversity (OCRD) at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) headquarters in Washington, DC.

In partnership with the Office of Human Resources, the Office of General Counsel, the Counselor to the Agency, the Chief Strategy Officer, the Office of the Administrator, and others, the Director of the OCRD will be critical to formulating a strategic plan and conducting short- and long-term actions towards this vision.  In addition, the Director will encourage fairness throughout the entire Agency and foster an environment of inclusion by ensuring that USAID programs, policies, and work environment promote equal opportunity in hiring, advancement, and training. 

The Director’s responsibilities may require travel abroad and work in a variety of cultural contexts in order to ensure that the Agency’s overseas missions have appropriate access to EEO counseling and training and in order to provide proper EEO advice, guidance, program management, and policy development and oversight across the Agency as a whole.
