NTIA is the President's principal advisor for telecommunications and information issues. NTIA develops domestic and international telecommunications and information policy for the executive branch, ensures the efficient and effective management and use of the Federal radio spectrum, performs state-of-the-art telecommunications research, engineering, and planning, and administers broadband programs. OPCM provides administrative, management and technical support for all of NTIA’s activities. ITD is responsible for development and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems and services supporting NTIA’s mission. Information Assurance Program (IAP) has the responsibility and authority to plan, coordinate, and control information system security for NTIA, including security measures for all networks and computer systems.
 
This position is located in the Office of Policy Coordination and management (OPCM), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). The selectee will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the Information Assurance Program (IAP), Information Technology Division (ITD). The Information Assurance Program is looking for an energetic, innovative Information Technology Specialist who will enjoy working in a dynamic and mission driven organization. The ideal candidate will have specialized experience in IT security engineering and operations. This position requires knowledge of IT security policies and requirements. The incumbent will assist in the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) Management processes.
