About the Agency

Finance Department – Project Finance
OPIC Finance reviews loan proposals that range from $500,000 to $400,000,000 to projects located in over 140 countries that OPIC is open in and that are in a wide variety of industries including power, oil and gas, transportation, financial services, agriculture, and manufacturing. 

The Small and Medium Enterprise Finance Department (SMEF) supports American investment abroad by providing long-term small to medium size loans to small and middle market clients in a wide variety of projects.

Structured Finance Department (SF) provides larger, long-term loans to finance large infrastructure projects and large financial services projects. Structured Finance teams work on infrastructure, renewable energy, oil and gas, financial services and a wide variety of other industries.
 
As a Student Intern, you will be assigned to the SMEF or SF Department and will perform work that supports: renewable energy, Africa Clean Energy Finance Initiative, housing, microfinance and impact investing, infrastructure etc.
