About the Agency

This position is located in the U.S. Department of Education’s, Federal Student Aid (FSA), Customer Experience Group’s Office of the Chief Customer Experience Officer.  The Customer Experience Office (CE) is responsible for identifying, measuring and reporting customer expectations and satisfaction with the federal financial aid services and products offered by Federal Student Aid.  CE is accountable for understanding the customers’ perception of service over the entire customer lifecycle and identifying ways to improve customer satisfaction.  CE provides advice and counsel to key customer groups on various topics required for customers to remain in "good standing" with the Department.  The CE team will work closely with all FSA business units to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met.
 
The incumbent provides guidance to the Deputy Chief Customer Experience Officer as a technical expert and advisor as it pertains to contract advisory services throughout all phases of contracts from inception to completion including evaluating proposals; monitoring costs, schedules, and performance; preparing contract summaries and contract administering and oversight.  The incumbent will work on identified efforts to ensure the timely completion of contract transitions, ensure satisfactory performance of contractors, and perform a wide variety of procurement-related and specified COR duties to ensure the continued effectiveness of the Customer Experience Office’s over $100 million annual contract portfolio.  The incumbent reports directly to the Deputy Chief Customer Experience Officer within the Office of the Chief Customer Experience Officer.
