About the Agency

This position is located in the Office of Postsecondary Education in the U.S. Department of Education. The incumbent of this position will serve as the Director of the Accreditation Group (AG) in the Office of Policy Coordination, Development and Accreditation Service with responsibilty for directing and coordinating the Department's accrediting agency recognition process.  The Accreditation Group administers the Department's review process of accrediting agencies and State approval agencies for postsecondary vocational education and nurse education seeking to obtain initial and continued recognition by the Secretary of Education.
