Please visit www.fema.gov for additional information.

This position is located in the Office of External Affairs, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The office is responsible for the dissemination of emergency management information to the media and general public in support of FEMA's mission to prepare for, respond to, recover from and reduce the risk from all hazards. The Public Affairs Division leads the efforts to communicate the agency’s key messages across a broad and diverse public. A large segment of the public uses websites and online portals to interact with and receive updates from disaster response organizations. This position starts at a salary of $89,924.00 (GS-13).
