ABOUT THIS JOB
You will be responsible for helping make sure that all of our equipment is field ready. This position will require you to assemble, disassemble, repair, test and build new equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
*
Maintain, test and assemble product / tools / sub-assemblies for operations.
*
Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices.
*
Complete tool inspections in accordance with engineering drawings.
*
Data entry database to input and access the necessary
*
Assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material
*
Perform functional testing on assemblies
*
Test assemblies per customer and/or division criteria
*
Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards
*
Apply settings, calibrate and maintain assembly tools
*
Perform torqueing of various components
*
Distribute quality notifications (qn''s)
*
Maintain data records.
*
Comply with HS&E policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
*
Technical diploma/Associates degree in a Mechanical field OR minimum 2 years relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive) plus HS Diploma/GED.
*
Ability to read and understand the English language. Good communication skills.
*
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
*
Basic computer skills.
*
Mechanically inclined. General technical knowledge in fluid power technology and mechanical devices. Basic machining and welding optional.
*
A basic understanding of the form and function of assembly components will be required as most assemblies are built without drawings or documentation
*
Knowledge of hand tools and their uses (examples: wrenches, Allen keys, chisels, hammers, magnet, pliers, punches, screwdrivers, socket sets, wire brushes)
*
Knowledge of power and pneumatic tools and their uses (examples: drill, grinder, polisher, sander, screwdriver, wrenches and sockets)
*
Ability to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 10 pounds of force
*
Team player who is capable of working well with minimal supervision while following safety procedures
*
Ability to use hands and wrists repetitively while using hand tools
*
Basic computer knowledge for documenting work activity
*
Flexibility to work overtime, on call schedule and willingness to work second shift position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
*
Proficient in reading/interpreting assembly blueprints and following written and verbal work instructions
*
Basic skills in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
*
Knowledge of workshop equipment and their uses (examples: air compressor, cleaning equipment, grease gun, hoist, jack, lifting equipment, measuring equipment, diagnostic equipment)
*
Knowledge of measuring equipment and their uses (examples: tapes, dial test indicator, micrometer, torque wrenches, and veneer calipers)
*
Troubleshooting skills
*
Basic machining and welding optional.
