Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for greeting and fulfilling the customers equipment rental needs.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

* Prepares outgoing and incoming rental contracts.
* Must have knowledge of all rental equipment and SOPs pertaining to the rental section.
* Responsible for customer service as defined by the company.
* Responsible for checking and certifying equipment before returning it to the line for rent.
* Performs light repair and maintenance on equipment.
* Responsible for cleaning rental area and equipment on a regular basis.
* Observe all SOPs including, but not limited to, all safety related practices and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope

* Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
* Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, bending or squatting.
* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Essential Skills

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be eighteen years of age
* Must pass the Drug Test
* Must pass the Background Check
* Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience

* HS Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications

* Must fill-in as backup equipment driver for pick-ups and deliveries when needed.
* Must have prior experience working with similar equipment.
* Must have knowledge of all company products and services.
* Some mechanical experience working on small engines and electrical tools.
* Must be able to properly explain the safe use of the equipment to the customer.
