As a Fish Biologist for the Arcata Fish and Wildlife Office (FWO), you will be responsible for conducting fish population and habitat assessments in Northern California with emphasis on conservation and recovery of native anadromous and resident fishes within the Klamath Basin.  For more information about the Arcata FWO, please visit their website at:  http://www.fws.gov/arcata/

Two positions will be filled through this vacancy announcement.  Duty locations are:  One position in Arcata, CA and one position in Weaverville, CA.  You will be required to indicate which location(s) you are interested in during the application process. 

These are full-time term positions not-to-exceed 13 months.  Further extensions of these appointments may be made without competition up to a total appointment of 4 years.

Salary Range for GS-7:  $39,179 - $50,932/per annum

Salary Range for GS-9:  $47,923 - $62,297/per annum

• Travel will be required during periods of intensive fieldwork--up to 4 nights per week.
