The work may involve trainee duties in one or more of the following areas as part of a work/study program: Procurement, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Administration, and Business, and Communications.

This announcement is for intern positions in the Business and Administrative occupations. Opportunities include multiple types of positions within these occupation areas at NASA, Kennedy Space Center.

The Pathways Intern Employment Program was established in the excepted service and provide for planned, progressive education studies at an accredited institution. Position grade levels will be determined by academic achievement. Students may be considered for continuation in this program at the advanced degree level without additional competition. If a student continues into the advanced degree program conversion to a full-time employee may only be offered after completion of the advanced degree. This is NOT a guarantee of permanent employment. Students advance to higher grades as education is completed and approved by management. All interns that meet eligibility requirements will be referred to the manager based on hiring needs. This is not a Guarantee of Permanent employment. As similar vacancies are identified, additional selections may be made.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Successful completion of a security investigation will be required
  • Enrollment at least half time at a qualifying educational institution
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.9 or higher
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Availability to work at least 640 hours prior to degree completion
