About the Agency

The incumbent serves as a technician for Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) and is assigned a geographic area for which they have responsibility for helping PPQ Officers with the planning, coordinating, and directing the survey, control, and regulatory functions for PPQ programs, including biocontrol and biotechnology activities.
APHIS is an emergency response agency. This means that all Agency employees may be asked or assigned to participate in rotating temporary duty assignments to support emergency programs at some time during their careers with APHIS. For details click: APHIS Emergency Response
