We are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Manager for the ARAMARK operations at George R. Convention Center located in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
The F&B Operations Manager is responsible for the organization and production of all food to be expedited, maintenance of equipment for kitchen/premium areas, sanitation and cleanliness, assist in inventory of all products, ordering and receiving, cost of sales and quality of food and quest satisfaction. In addition, this position will also oversee all premium areas to include suites, banquets and catering and will assist with the concessions and warehouse operation. This position will have daily interaction with the client and client's customers and employees.
Responsible for the organization, production and timely distribution of all food from production kitchens and premium areas; assist with concession areas as needed
Maintain food, safety and HACCP guidelines focusing on proper temperature and appearance, garnishes, consistency of food production by following recipes, ensure proper amounts are sent to locations and control of overproduction
Manage appropriate inventory levels, equipment maintenance and sanitation standards
Oversee/assist with monthly inventory; review quantities and pricing to ensure accurate numbers
Ordering and receiving all products while maintaining company standards
Establish and maintain effective clients relations and customer satisfaction
Assist in identifying customer needs and resolving operational challenges
Plan, coordinate and execute all building events
Interface procedures and processes for both front and back of the house; make recommendations to improve inefficiencies
Manage department budget and forecasts
Ensure all Wage & Hour policies are followed
Hiring, on-boarding, training and developing supervisory and hourly staff to meet staffing and succession needs
Implement and monitor safety and rewards and recognition programs
Ensure compliance with all ARAMARK policies, procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is required.
* A minimum of 2 year's relevant experience is desired.
* The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is essential to success in this role.
* Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management and ARAMARK support staff.
* Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
* Candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations and be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends.
