Position Summary
<br>
<br>Manage the implementation and compliance of  food safety and quality requirements for our suppliers. Work with suppliers on food safety and quality issue resolution and corrective actions. Work with plants, R& D, and other internal customers to assure compliance with food safety and quality requirements of suppliers. Manage third party and internal food safety audit and approval system for suppliers.

<br>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
<br>' Manage the food safety and quality programs for suppliers .
<br>' Develop and implement technical plans, clearly defining the critical issues and approach to be used in resolving food safety and quality issues. Follow up with Suppliers to assure compliance to resolutions.
<br>' Conduct food safety and quality audits/reviews of existing suppliers
<br>' Determine performance of food safety and quality expectations with existing suppliers.
<br>' Develop and manage food safety and quality auditing systems using internal audits and review of third party audits and GFSI certifications.
<br>' Manage supplier food safety and quality approval process for consistency across all lines of business.
<br>' Work with R& D and Manufacturing on key food safety and quality requirements for suppliers.
<br>' Define and implement food safety and quality testing requirements and compliance guidelines for suppliers.
<br>' Present persuasive presentations to management on recommendations.

<br>Job Requirements
<br>
<br>' Bachelor Science Degree in food safety related field.
<br>' Minimum of five years experience in food safety and quality in a food manufacturing environment
<br>' Minimum of three year experience working with food safety & quality programs for supply management
<br>' Thorough understanding of food safety principles and food processing
<br>' HACCP Certified required.
<br>' SQF training required
<br>' Food Safety and Sanitation auditing experience required.
<br>' Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal customers and supply management
