Sodexo is seeking for an Operations Manager for Food fora corporate account in Rosharon, TX. The Operations Manager will be responsible to manage all contract service dining operations, catering, Office Coffee and Vending. This position will manage up to 8 employees with a managed volume of almost $750,000 annually. The Operations Manager will have an direct active role in managing the daily operations related to retail, finance, cost controls, customer service, and provide strategic leadership to exceed customer and client expectations. Proven strong interpersonal relationship skills are key to building and maintaining the key client web of influence as well as a cohesive staff.
Reporting to the portfolio General Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a Food Service Manager or Operations Manager / Food Service Director / Cafeteria Manager, and have strong P&L financial acumen. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record with executing a catering operation, including high end customer events and the proven knowledge to plan, organize and manage day to day special events. Experience in corporate dining / cafeteria and contract management experience preferred but not required.
Position Summary:
Assumes GM''s responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate''s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
