Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2atMother Frances’ brand new- Heart Hospital– opening December 15, 2012,located inTyler, TX. The main facility is a 450 bed acute care hospital utilizing At Your Request (AYR)Room Service and has a newly renovated Cafe which includes one branded concept (Subconnection). The Heart Hospital is located on campus and has 50 operational beds to expand to 75 operational beds within the first 60 days, AYR and a Retail Cafe which includes expanded "We Proudly Brew". The Food Operations Manager will oversee approximately 25 team members.
Ideal candidate will have:
* 3 or more years’ experience managing food retail operation, Sodexo experience is a plus.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to effectively execute a business plan to meet needs.
* Time management and team building skills.
* Catering experience.
* Ability to develop team members
* Excellent organizational skills
Position will maintain: fast and accurate service, positive guest relations, product consistency, quality standards, statistical analysis, product inventory and usage, and best business practices. Position is responsible for: daily business performance, implementation of operational procedures, food and labor cost controls. Best qualified candidate has experience with: retail staff training, coaching and counseling as needed, daily performance feedback and annual reviews, implementation of employee reward and recognition programs. The successful candidate will ensure that: sanitation, safety and security standards meet requirements, marketing programs are fresh and include industry trends.
Position Summary:
Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate''s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
