Food Plant Manufacturing Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
To direct and manage the following functions of the site: Manufacturing,Safety, Quality Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

1.Direct and manage the following functions of the Carrollton,TX site to include: Manufacturing, Safety and Quality Engineering.
2.Prepare and develop, for the annual operating budget, all related departmental expenses. Ensure that compliance to these targets are met per approved budget.
3.Responsible for ensuring timely manufacture and delivery of products to all customers (internal and external), ensuring that both external and internal non-conformances are minimized and reduced, ensuring that productivity is improving, and that continuous improvement programs remain active and value-added within the site.
4.Plan for (via annual Capital Budget) and execute all approved manufacturing related Capital jobs per schedule and per plan. Work to develop plans that will optimize the manufacturing and warehouse operations. Employ engineering disciplines to ensure that work is done in the most efficient manner.
5.Management and delegation of tasks to local management/supervisory team. Responsible for the administrative tasks of hiring/termination, performing performance appraisals (and one-to-one meetings), management of attendance documentation, training and development of personnel, counciling/coaching, succession planning, nine-box development, and performing disciplinary actions.
6.Safety/Security - Actively promotes the added value of safety and security internally and externally. Ensures that overall safety standards are met. Creates an environment of the highest safety disipline. Instigates initiative for safety improvements. Promotes the concept of behavior based of safety and health management. Promotes the inter-relationship of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Performs local safety audits per schedule. Attend local safety briefings and training classes as per schedule.
7.Develop and ensure that departmental objectives and metrics are consistent with the site's objectives and metrics. Monitor to ensure that these objectives and metrics are being achieved.

1.Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Food Science or related field.
2.M.B.A. preferred.

10.SAP working knowledge.
11.Operational knowledge of Computer Systems - Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
12.Bilingual in Spanish required.
13.Ideal candidate will be open to geographical relocation within the next 2-3 years.

Required Experience: 1.Minimum 7-10 years manufacturing operations.
2.Minimum of 5 years direct role of supervision.
3.Food Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
4.Lean Manufacturing exposure to related processes, i.e Six Sigma, 5S, DMAIC etc.
5.Highly energetic individual to integrate into a performance based environment.
