JOB SUMMARY:
Position Summary:
Management of the powder seasonings production processes of Weighing, Blending, Sanitation, and Packaging functions of the plant. The Production Supervisor is part of the team to develop, promote and support the quality initiatives through the plant to deliver safe, quality and legal product to the customer. The goal of this position is to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and implement effective processes and procedures to reduce operating costs. The Production Supervisor is a member of the leadership team for the site and will communicate directly with KEY customers to review satisfaction regarding product quality and performance.
We are looking for the successor of the Manufacturing Manager; the ideal candidate will have food manufacturing experience in a supervisory capacity and will be willing to relocate geographically and be developed to take on a larger role with increased responsibility within the next two to three years. This role is also responsible for developing direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for the production process to include: weighing, blending, sanitation, and packaging: timely production, packaging, labeling, and delivery of quality finished products to all customers, including other IFF locations, as specified by the Planning and Customer Service functions.
Responsible for ensuring that production productivity targets are achieved and that continuous improvement in the production processes is at the forefront.
Ensures that all tasks are completed in a safe manner. Responsibility includes the enforcement of safety rules and procedures of the plant as specified by the SERA Safety and Health Manual. Support the local Plant Safety Committee and Management Safety Committee.
Has comprehensive knowledge of HACCP - USDA - FDA A
