Serves as a smokejumper, performing a variety of duties in the areas of parachute jumping and fire suppression.

This is a vacancy announcement for one or more locations throughout the Forest Service. The number and location of positions to be filled will be dependent upon individual unit needs. Tours of duty include full-time or less than full-time (guaranteed minimum 6 months/13 pay periods of full-time employment). If on a seasonal schedule, you will be placed in a non-pay status for the rest of the season. Availability of government housing, federal day care facilities, and bargaining unit status will vary by location.
