Job Description

Located in Austin, TX
The primary purpose of this position is to perform facilities maintenance work requiring skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, masonry, welding, metal working and signage.
* Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, masonry, welding, sheet metal, locksmithing, hoists, roofs and overhead doors
* Repairs overhead doors
* Maintains and certifies hoist/lifting devices
* Patches minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound
* Paints structures and equipment
* Repairs or replaces concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
* Replaces damaged paneling and floor tiles
* Hangs doors and installs door locks, maintaining master key systems, door closures, door hardware
* Replaces broken windowpanes
* Installs cove base, suspended ceiling tiles and framework, painting and other structural work
* Installs and repairs wood structures and roof components
* Minor welding, sheet metal work and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery
* Repairs and replaces signage 
Required Skills

High School or GED.
Capability in general maintenance trades.
Required Experience

Minimum of two (2) years experience in general maintenance trades with experience in at least three of the following trades: painting, carpentry, masonry, welding, sheet metal, locksmith, hoist, roofs and overhead door work
