JOB SUMMARY:
Maximum number of positions available is 16 and they are in the following cities Brownsville, Raymondville, Edcouch, Mission, Rio Grande City, and Hebbronville, Tx. Applicants must indicate which city or cities they prefer to work in on the application under geographic preference. Paper applications only and applications can be brought to TXDOT Pharr District HQ located at 600 W. Expressway US 83 in Pharr, TX or dropped off at any TXDOT location.
Gen. Transp. Tech III description: Performs skilled work related to transportation activities such as routine, non-routine and contract maintenance inspection; material and process inspection; and/or highly-skilled roadway maintenance and repair; light and heavy equipment operation; preventive and minor maintenance on equipment; traffic control; helping the public during emergency situations; and training other employees.
Minimum Requirements: Three (3) years experience in engineering support, maintenance, construction, heavy equipment operation, transportation-related and/or roadway maintenance work.
